Welcome to the 2018 Scouting for Food!
Scouting for Food is March 17th, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
Thank you for your continued support to help fill the Weld Food Bank’s barren shelves.
You can find maps of your assigned areas on this webpage and you can find out more information at Roundtable. Please review as some areas have changed.
In preparation for the drive, Scouts and their Leaders will need to leave bags with our B.S.A. flyer. This should preferably be done a week prior to March 17th.
Two deep leadership is required! We ask that Scouts to not approach apartments, as it is very difficult for adults and leaders to keep an eye on the boys at all times. Also we want to reaffirm that Scouts under no circumstances shall enter anyone’s house during the drive.
The Weld Food Bank will be open to receive our food donations from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. which should be ample time to pick up our donations and get them over to the food bank.
Please reply back to me email@example.com ASAP with your Unit number, total services hours, total number of volunteers after each day out. This way we can track service hours and the number of volunteers.
On the flyers that will be distributed, each unit will need to include someone’s name and phone number in the blank space. So someone can be contacted in case we miss a few houses or people do not get the bags out on their steps early enough for us. After entering this information, you may make your copies to attach to the bags.
Thank you again and let’s make this a very fruitful year for the Food Bank. They sincerely count on the Scouting for Food Drive each year after the holiday season, when so much has been distributed and they need to replenish their supplies.
