The Longs Peak Council has established a new camping recognition program called “Camp Passport” that will recognize and reward units with meaningful recognition for camping three of four consecutive years at a Longs Peak Council summer camp facility, including the Ben Delatour Scout Ranch (BDSR), Camp Laramie Peak (CLP), and the Elkhorn High Adventure Base (EHAB).  We are excited about this new recognition program as we gear up to celebrate the 60th anniversary of BDSR in 2019 and the 100th anniversary of CLP in 2020.

Fill out the Camp Passport Program Commitment form and identify your summer camp destinations for 2018, 2019, and 2020 and you will lock in your summer camp fees at the lowest priced camp fee of those consecutive years.  Units that attended a Longs Peak Council summer camp in 2017 have already achieved their first year of the three required to earn the award and will pay the 2017 camp fee if they attend a Longs Peak Council summer camp in 2018.  Camp Passport commitment Form

Units will also be recognized with a commemorative framed set of camp CSP patch collection to prominently display in your troop meeting room.
Additional savings and discounts can be earned by signing the troop up by Dec. 1 to earn a $10 discount per Scout.  Any troop that attended summer camp in 2017 and returns in 2018 will receive a $100 gas stipend discount to apply toward your 2018 registration fees.

Units that participate in the annual Investment in Character and Leadership (ICL) campaign, participate in the annual council camp card/nuts for Scouting product sale (spring) or annual council popcorn product sale (fall) will receive meaningful unit incentives for achieving agreed upon goals.

The Alternative Funding Model (AFM) recognition rewards units that achieve $200 per Scout in 2018 through Investment in Character and Leadership (ICL) presentations and the 2018 spring product sale (camp cards & Nuts for Scouting).  Units will receive free badges of rank, merit badges, and activity pins from the date the ICL goal is met and receive a 15% discount at all LPC overnight camp programs in 2018 upon achieving the AFM goal of $200 per Scout by May 15, 2018.

15% Camp discount at LPC camps in 2018:  per Scout savings of $47.25.
