The Rocky Mountain District delivers Scouting programs that develop character, citizenship, fitness, and leadership skills to youth in the Loveland, Berthoud and Estes Park areas of North Central Colorado.
The Rocky Mountain District is governed and operates through the committed efforts of its outstanding and hardworking team of volunteers. This includes events such as Merit Badge University, Scouting for Food, Klondike, Scout Show, Fall Camporee, and Spring Camporee; just to name a few. These events are planned entirely by volunteer chairs and committees whose leadership makes these events possible. District Committee Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 5:45pm at the Loveland LDS Stake Center, 3800 Mountain Lion Drive Loveland, CO. All District Committee meetings are open to all Scouts and Scouters.
District Executive Ty Miller is the Longs Peak Council staff member assigned to the Rocky Mountain District and can be reached via email at: Tyler.Miller@scouting.org or by phone at: 970-584-2227.
Does Scouting work?
Studies show that kids involved in Scouts and sports do better then those who are just involved in sports.
The District is always recruiting new volunteers to help run the program. If you are interested in helping out on the District Committee then please click the link and fill out the form and someone from the District Committee will contact you. RM-Volunteer Form.
