Forestry Day at Ben Delatour Scout Ranch – April 16, 2016

Boy Scouts and Webelos have an opportunity for hands-on education about how trees grow and how to identify different trees.  See how we care for our forests to keep them healthy and take part in a forestry project.  Registration is easy – send and email to CampRegistration@longspeakbsa.org and include the following information:

Each Scouts name, Unit (Pack or Troop), the unit #.  The fee is $4 per person and is collected at the door.  Each group must have adults with them – Boy Scouts 1 adult for every 10 Scouts; Webelos 1 adult for every 4 Scouts.  If you are registering your Scout individually and not with his troop or pack, you will need to attend with him.  All Scouts will check in at Jack Nicol Cub Scout Camp Office – Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts 11 and older check in at 10 AM.  Webelos and Girl Scouts 9 & 10 check in at 11 AM.  Please bring a sack lunch.  (See the updated flyer below for more information!)

Boy Scouts please bring a Scoutmaster approved Merit Badge Card for Forestry.  We will mark off requirements that are completed throughout the day.

This event is sponsored by Colorado State Forest Service, Warner College of Natural Resources, Colorado State University, Colorado-Wyoming Society of American Foresters, Colorado Forestry Association, Longs Peak Council and many more.
