Merit Badge Counselors - How To

Am I Registered as a Counselor?

Select your District to check the registration status of any counselor:

If the person is:

Not FoundThey are not registered as a MBC with the Council/BSA as of May 31, 2013. (Why Not?)

Please follow the instructions for How to Register a New Merit Badge Counselor.

... a registered Merit Badge Counselor, but not in the (correct) District.The Council does not always know which New District you are Scouting in, especially if your mailing address is in a city which is not in your District.

Please do both of the following:

  1. Contact the Council Registrar to have the registration changed to the correct District.
  2. Send email to the Council webmaster with:
    • the Counselor's Name
    • the Unit they should be affiliated with
    • which District
