The Longs Peak Council delivers Scouting programs that develop character, citizenship, fitness and
leadership skills to youth in northeastern Colorado, southeastern Wyoming and western Nebraska.

Cub Scouts - For boys in 1st through 5th grade.
Boy Scouts - For boys 11 years old through high school - outdoor oriented.
Venturing - For 14-21 year old guys and girls - adventure oriented.

While we have had no incidences of the H1N1 Influenza at the Ben Delatour Scout
Ranch, the staff at the BDSR is working closely with the Larimer County Health Department to keep our facility
clear of any flu like illnesses. Please read the following memo.

National Youth Leadership Training
The 2009 NYLT has been cancelled because there were not enough participants.
"We apologize to the 13 Scouts that had signed up for NYLT by June 1. For Scouts wanting to register in 2010, it would be very helpful to sign up before the deadline."

The BSA announced that New Leader Essentials has been replaced by the new online training "This is Scouting" .

The BSA has a new Online course: Planning and Preparing for Hazardous
Weather .
Effective for tours on January 1, 2009, at least one adult must have completed this course.

We have completed the initial split of Merit Badge Counselor lists to the New Districts.

Troops should have received a listing of counselors affiliated with their Troop in April. Please update the listings and return them to your DE at your May Roundtable, or to the Greeley Office.
